Cancer...The Archetype

“ I Seek Myself Through What I Feel”

Cancer is the Universal Mother that sustains and nurtures life. Represented by the Crab, Cancer is a creature of both land and sea. Feeling life sensually and physically it is the sign that represents home, our roots, relationships to the tribe and our karmic past.

It is the purpose of Cancer to establish an anchor on the earth plane to ground Spirit in physical form. This forage makes Cancer tenacious in its search for home. Through this search a deeper truth is revealed; the discovery of a spiritual home and inner light within. This true home is the anchor that grounds Spirit, affording Cancer to serve and nourish the whole of humanity.

The early stages of the less developed Cancerian will be bound to the emotional influences of their environment. Unaware of self as an individual and completely identified with tribal (familial) living Cancer will replay karmic patterns keeping itself in the cycle of homeostasis. At this level home is represented by a physical dwelling.

As awakening occurs and the inner journey begins, a new path is forged.  A clearer sense of boundaries and separateness from instinctual co-dependency evolves. This maturity moves Cancer from tribal home to finding home wherever it may go.  Self-expression and an urge to find its own place in life are applied while continuing to maintain selfless and nurturing aspirations.

At its highest vibration there is a depth and fulfillment when the integrated Cancer connects to its true home; the soul. At this level of evolution the “Cancer Soul” expresses its devotion to humanity.  What was once separation to break free and find its place in life is now an illumination of universal love and universality of life.  From this place Cancer’s path is to serve and nourish the whole of humanity.

We all have the influence of Cancer energy running through us. For some it will be more compelling than others. And that search for inner peace, is in our “real home” and that conscious journey home is inward.

When we modify or adapt to serve a new or different purpose, we transform. When we go beyond, rise above, overshadow or eclipse, we transcend what we were and become something new. When we take transformation of our physical or lower perceptions to their highest expressions, the spiritual or higher state of being determines how this energy is directed. The conversion of these energies causes an alchemical reaction that creates a new way of perceiving and experiencing our reality. The "leaden" lower self (body) connects to and serves the higher "golden" self (soul) -  this is the meaning of alchemy.

Uncertainty

When I choose to consciously sit in the uncertainty of the unknown I am brought into present time and into my physical body. Time slows, breathing is deepened, actions become deliberate and words are chosen with more intention. Vulnerability is on edge here in this place of uncertainty. Sensitivity is acute and tears are on stand by, ready to rise to any occasion. Yet, the beauty of this place is the humility and the grace that are the vessels of transportation ready to carry me to the next moment of life, if I let them. To move forward, I let go and let the unknown be my driver. I think about all the ways I try and control and predict my life. Making myself angry that it sometimes isn't going the way I like or a way that has me feeling so uncomfortable. Carrying this inner rebellion is like driving a car with the emergency brake on. The limitation of the ego mind holds us hostage to what the unknown would like to offer. An offering our thoughts have ...

"The only thing that is constant is change."

The intension of this blog is to share information, contemplate life and to ask questions.  I do not claim to have any answers to these questions I ask. The only answers I have are to my own personal beliefs, which can sometimes change daily based on any given experience .    I s change the initiation for chaos?  Do we seek transformation or does transformation seek us? Transitions, letting go, surrendering to what cannot be controlled. "Everything must stay the same" a mantra that we all live with inside the human condition of the ego. If you think you can escape this, look again. "Yes, I want change to happen, I understand that it needs to happen but please don't let everything turn to chaos." Again I ask, is chaos the initiation to transformation?  Change moves us from one pattern into something new. In this process a pattern must be broken for the new pattern to be created. When something breaks, fragmentation occurs. The law of natu...
