Uncertainty

When I choose to consciously sit in the uncertainty of the unknown I am brought into present time and into my physical body. Time slows, breathing is deepened, actions become deliberate and words are chosen with more intention. Vulnerability is on edge here in this place of uncertainty. Sensitivity is acute and tears are on stand by, ready to rise to any occasion. Yet, the beauty of this place is the humility and the grace that are the vessels of transportation ready to carry me to the next moment of life, if I let them. To move forward, I let go and let the unknown be my driver. I think about all the ways I try and control and predict my life. Making myself angry that it sometimes isn't going the way I like or a way that has me feeling so uncomfortable. Carrying this inner rebellion is like driving a car with the emergency brake on. The limitation of the ego mind holds us hostage to what the unknown would like to offer. An offering our thoughts have

Guardians of The Soul

The soul is the container of all knowledge, past, present and future.  It holds the codes for messages and lessons from lifetime to lifetime. It is the spiritual essence of whom we really are and the part of us that never dies. Beyond form, soul is the core of our inner most being, birth-less and changeless over time. Infinite in nature there is no place where it is not. This immortal part of self is the driving force behind all that is.  The soul’s desire to awaken burns within each of us. The human experience is the manifestation that assists in its evolution, this is its journey it makes through each lifetime. The intense desire to actualize does not cease until it is known. We are the guardians of the soul. Its care is ours to nurture, honor and grow. The Creative Spirit in each of us is expressed by way of its (the soul’s) intention. Our actions either take or give to its fulfillment. Living from this depth we discover passion and purpose

The Art of Living...Be the Artist of Your Life Your Love and Your Beauty.

As I strive to bring balance into my life I reflect on the choices that I have made which create the art of my life. Balance is a natural state of being. It is inside all of us but gets lost in the chaos of our lives by the choices we make in reaction to how we feel. Living a life of balance does not mean that everything is perfect or stable. It doesn’t mean that we don’t have struggle or feel pain. What it does embody is living with life’s natural rhythm and cycles in synchronicity to our own internal rhythms. Balance is a state of being where the various aspects of life and ourselves are working as an integrated whole. To begin to reclaim our natural state of balance, practicing the art of being in present time connects us to our body’s own rhythmic patterns. In doing so we are able to hear and feel our body’s subtle movements of synchronized directives that assist in guiding us toward choices, which resonate with life’s ebb and flow. How we choose to interact with

Awaken The Warrior Within...The Spiritual Warrior

As I walk my Spiritual path I have moments of enlightenment. And although I know I will never be fully enlightened, I continue my journey forward. The battle of the Spiritual Warrior is mastery of one's self. It is an inner battle for truth and wisdom in the name of Love. Requiring courage and resiliency a Spiritual Warrior is someone who embraces the journey as a personal choice and accepts the enemy within. They are independent, self-directed and devoted to facing the challenges that confront them. Their guiding principal of integrity is the code of honor from which life is lived by with uncompromising action. A Spiritual Warrior understands the destruction of war and does not seek it. Their virtue of compassion is used to equalize potential conflict from arising. The sword that is carried is Love and the armor is Vulnerability. Willing to throw down their sword in complete surrender the Warrior becomes stronger, for victory is of the spirit not the body.

Maybe Fear is the Watcher of Our Path

Controlling our lives gives us a sense of security that nothing will change unless we want it to. The comfort in what is familiar keeps us feeling safe. But what happens when we want a change, like end a relationship, move to a new city, let go of a job, or just make different choices about our life? What arises when we challenge our own control and the once natural order of our lives feels at risk? Buddhism teaches us that life is impermanent and resistance to this natural cycle brings forth suffering. And suffer we do as we try and elude this concept, with great fear. Fear of what we will discover, fear of what we will feel and fear of what we will need to let go of. While fear is the impetus to control, it is also the impetus for surrender. This paradox is the trappings for the struggles that we face almost daily in our lives. So, is fear our adversary or ally? Daunting in nature, fear will challenge us in ways we can never imagine. We make choices that we never

The Waters of Vulnerability

“As I awaken to the limits of my physical body, vulnerability is seen in a new way. Will I deny it or will I embrace it, will I introduce fear or will I remember love.”   Walking the path of vulnerability is not an easy task for any of us. We all struggle in varying degrees with the willingness to accept and love ourselves unconditionally. Whether it's in regards to our physical, emotional or mental body we sometimes refuse to recognize our breaking points. Instead we try and control, hold on to pride and toughen up. When we deny our vulnerability we deny our sensitivity.   We are shutting out a part of life to escape the pain of our physical existence. Perhaps the pain we are avoiding is the very thing we really crave. Perhaps pain is the elixir that our inner alchemist brews for our redemption. Perhaps,   “pain is knowledge not yet understood.” Life holds many experiences that we sometimes don’t expect. It pushes us in ways that makes us hold on for fear of w
